Hi Audrey, I am very limited in the USA by a lack of available accessible transportation — it's thus far been impossible to find vehicles that can carry the number of wheelchairs that makes a group trip viable. That said, I am working to plan tours in major cities where private transportation is not so critical, and where we can manage with a limited number of private transfers in accessible vans or taxis. Is there anywhere in particular that you are interested in visiting as part of a group tour?
John, thanks for the quick response. That makes a lot of sense. I am still new to traveling with a disability and wheelchair and have only done so with the assistance of my parents. I think the group trip sounds like a great opportunity, except international travel seems daunting. Based on your latest newsletter, it seems like San Diego is a great place to visit (if staying in the US)! Thanks for doing what you do. Really enjoy the newsletter and attached articles.
